Journey to Truf

After resting at the Pokemon Center, Reve, Farfetch'd, and Charmander were ready to begin finding a way back to Cerulean City. Reluctantly, they stepped out of the Pokemon Center into the eerie atmosphere of Lavender Town. "I guess we should look around for a quick way to Cerulean," said Reve. "Let's go to that big building to the East," she added. They started walking to it. Not long after they arrived at the large structure. "Okay, let's go in." Reve stepped in followed by Charmander and Farfetch'd.

"Fetch far (this place is sure creepy)," said Farfetch'd. A strangely dressed woman and little boy walked up to them. "Hey, what are you doing here? It's not safe. You must have come here to find the pokeflute. Didn't you hear about the ghost pokemon?," said the woman. "Ghosts? I don't believe in such things," replied Reve. "They're ghost pokemon. You can't see them or fight them. You'll never make it up to the top floor. Your pokemon will be too scared to move. Leave at once!" exclaimed the woman. Reve's face turned white. Her senses finally came back and she thought. I didn't know there was a pokeflute here. A pokeflute is a rare thing, I can't just give up this opportunity. "I'm going to look for it." "Fine, go on as you please, but don't blame me if anything happens," replied the woman. "Fetch'd far (don't you think we should listen to the woman)?" asked Farfetch'd. It was too late. Reve was already headed to the second floor.

Charmander and Farfetch'd followed. The steps were narrow and creaky. As they headed up the light grew dimmer and Reve made out a few letters of remembrance inscribed on the wall. "Feetch'd far fetch'd far! (let's just get to the top, grab it, then leave)." After walking for a few minutes they reached the second floor. Charmander led the way with his light and walked slowly to another staircase. Charmander inched up staircase slowly. "Farfetch'd (hurry up)!" exclaimed Farfetch'd while poking Charmander with the leek. Charmander speeded up.

Not long after they reached the third floor. "This place is maze-like," said Reve. With only a little light, they touched the wall trying to find their way. "Ouch," said Reve while bumping into something. The room got brighter and they saw a ghost-like figure playing with the lights. It could not be identified. Reve, Charmander, and Farfetch'd were too scared to move. "Get out..., get out," said the ghostly figure. Without any hesitation Reve, Charmander, and Farfetch'd ran, stumbled, and did anything they could to find their way to the staircase in which moments ago, they came up. In a few minutes, which seemed to be an eternity to them, they finally stumbled down to the well lit, first floor where there was the strange woman waiting for them. "I warned you," said the strange woman. The woman laughed and the boy next to her seemed to morph into a ghostly figure similar to the one they saw upstairs on the third floor. Reve rubbed her eyes. The boy was a boy again. Reve didn't want to take any chances. She rushed out followed by Charmander and Farfetch'd.

They rushed outside gasping for air. Surprisingly to them, it was not dark outside. "I can't believe it's only six o' clock," said Reve. Not wanting to stay any longer they started running. In the distance they saw the docks connected to the beautiful sea. In a few minutes Reve reached one of the poles of the dock grabbed on to it and leaned down gasping for air. Charmander and Farfetch'd plopped down and did the same. After setting down, they noticed that the docks had a comfortable, serene, and peaceful atmosphere unlike the rest of Lavender Town. The trio breathed in the cool refreshing air.
