 "I
challenge you to a pokemon contest," said a girl.
"Okay, which one of you want to go first?" she
said. "You have to pass the test to get out of this
cave," said the boy who shouted at them.
"What's the test," asked Ardus. "If you
beat the two of us, you've passed the test," replied
the girl. The girl looked about Truf's age and the boy a
little older. They both were good-looking. The boy had
shiny black hair that was wavy and smooth. He was tall
and medium build. The girl had light brown hair, and it
was like her brother's but a different color and longer.
"Let us introduce ourselves. We are the Terrific
Two. I'm Reve, and he's Sonador, my brother. We wish to
strengthen our pokemon in battle and trade pokemon with
other trainers. We have quite a collection unlike our
rivals at Team Rocket. Can you believe it? They only have
four pokemon each!" said the girl. Truf formed a
drop of sweat while he thought about how he only had two.
"Unlike our rivals, we do not steal pokemon.
Stealing them is pathetic. We catch and trade them,"
said Sonador.The terrible two continued their long speech.
"Our ultimate goal, however, is to collect all of
the pokemon who can put other pokemon to sleep,"
said Sonador. "How can other pokemon, attack while
they are asleep?" asked Reve. "Of course we are
interested in other pokemon too. Catching pokemon is
easier while they are asleep. Unfortunately, we weren't
able to find any pokemon with sleep abilities. That's why
we came here," continued Reve.
"Enough
talk, let's battle," replied Truf. "I'll go
first," said Cerrie as she pushed Ardus and Truf out
of the way. "Okay, two pokemon each. Who do you want
to battle?" asked Reve. "I'll battle you!"
exclaimed Cerrie. "Go, Persian!" said Cerrie
while she threw a pokeball. "Go Paras," said
Reve as she threw her pokeball. Cerrie started laughing
uncontrollably. "You're using that to fight
me?" Reve looked angry while she told Paras to make
the first move. "Go Paras, use scratch," said
Reve. Paras walked up to Persian and scratched him.
Persian didn't seem to notice. Cerrie began to laugh
harder and couldn't stop. "Persian, use Bite,"
said Cerrie. Persian gets ready to bite Paras.
"Quick, use Stun Spore and freeze that Persian. Some
powdery looking substance comes out from the mushrooms on
Paras' back and stuns Persian. "Oh no! Return
Persian," said Cerrie.
"Okay,
since Persian's down, I'll use Jigglypuff," said
Cerrie. Sonador and Reve fell a step back. "You have
a Jigglypuff?" asked Reve. "Of course, doesn't
everyone have one?" asked Cerrie tauntingly. Reve
thought back to when Circie and Adon presented their
jigglypuff and looked quite upset. Sonador did the same.
"Go," said Reve. "I know that we could
never win against a jigglypuff, you may leave," said
Reve as she turned around. Sonador looked confused.
"Why are you letting her go?" he asked.
"We have already lost," said Reve.
"Whatever," replied Sonador.
"Okay,
who's next?," asked Sonador. Ardus steps out.
"I call you Kangaskan," said Ardus. "Okay,
Kangaskan use your Dizzy Punch," said Ardus. Before
Paras could use his moves Kangaskan hits Paras knocking
him out. "Paras come back," said Reve.
"Okay, come out Doduo," said Reve.
"Kangaskan use your Dizzy Punch again," said
Ardus. Kangaskan hits Doduo and Doduo faints. Ardus and
Kangaskan finish Sonador's pokemon Nidoran and Fearow the
same way . "You may leave," said Sonador sadly.
Ardus walks out of the cave merrily.
Reve
looks at Truf with intense emotion. "I will not lose
this time, I will use my strongest pokemon," says
Reve. Truf looks nervous. Will Truf be able to beat Reve
and Sonador and leave the cave, or will he be stuck?
