The Unlucky Pokemon

Truf slowed down. "Wow, there are seven of them," said Cerrie counting. "We should avoid them, it could be trouble," replied Ardus. "Who's that with them," asked Truf seeing a figure in the distance arguing with the rocket members. They walked up closer carefully, trying to stay out of view and trying not to make a noise that could catch attention.

The figure in the distance looked familiar. "Hey, it's Dell," Truf whispered. Truf walked closer. He could make out what Dell and a team rocket member were saying. "Come on, join Team Rocket. There are major benefits. You even look good enough for Team Rocket," said the rocket member. "Hey, Dell!" yelled Truf. "Hi, Truf, how's it going?" replied Dell. "Hello!" exclaimed the rocket member angrily. "I'm sorry, but I won't join you," replied Dell. "Then, I'll just have to convince you!" shouted the rocket member. He grabbed a pokeball and out popped a Magmar. "Oh, is that how it's going to be? I call you Squirtle!," said Dell.

"Magmar, use Ember!," shouted the rocket member. Magmar shot out some flames, but Squirtle did not seem affected. "Squirtle, use water gun," said Dell. Squirtle shot out a big blast of water, and Magmar flinched. "Magmar, return," yelled the rocket member. "Fine, you win," he said as he smirked. Dell, Cerrie, Ardus, and Truf looked at the rocket member unconvinced. "Magmar return," said the rocket member. "Let's go for lunch," he said to the other team rocket members. He started walking and the other rocket members followed him.

"That was easy," said Dell. "Nice to see you again," said Dell. "Yeah, I'm going fishing. Didn't you have to go to the SS Anne for a party?" asked Truf. "Yeah, I have to go to Vermilion City. I'm already late," said Dell. "Then you should get going," replied Truf. "Ok, I'll talk to you later," said Dell as he walked off.

Truf ran over to the water and threw out his super rod. Ardus and Cerrie sat down next to him. Truf carefully threw the line out into the water and waited, and waited, and waited. After waiting for a hour, Cerrie got restless. "Who's stupid idea was it to go fishing anyway?" she exclaimed. Just then, Truf felt a tug on the super rod. "Wow, it's a pokemon! Truf tugged back and reeled the pokemon in. The water splashed and a yellow figure slowly came up to the surface.  Truf towed on the line and up shot a Psyduck." Hey look, it's a Psyduck! Yuck. Throw it back!," exclaimed Cerrie. "No way! This pokemon is mine," replied Truf.

"Pikachu, I choose you!" exclaimed Truf while throwing a pokeball. Pikachu popped out. "Pika pikaa," said Pikachu. "Pikachu, thunder shock!," said Truf. Pikachu shocked the Psyduck. Psyduck used Scratch. "Pikachu, scratch it," said Truf. Pikachu scratched the Psyduck. "Ok, pokeball go!" exclaimed Truf as he anxiously threw a pokeball. The pokeball changed Psyduck into energy and sucked him in. The pokeball rocked back and forth. Truf stared at it nervously. The pokeball stopped rocking and the light went off.
