The Great Escape

The next morning Charmander went over to the window to talk to Farfetch'd. Farfetch'd wasn't there. Charmander sat down. I'll eat some more of that delicious food, he thought. But before Charmander made it to the table, someone unlocked the door started pushing it open. It was Dr. Hector. He was in the strange yellow-orange suit again. Dr. Hector looked at his watch. "It's 8 am, and time for late morning training". I wonder when early morning training is, thought Charmander.

Dr. Hector picked up Charmander and took him out of the room. I have to memorize the way to exits, thought Charmander. Focus. They passed halls and halls passing strange looking doors and even went through a few teleport blocks. I can't remember anything, thought Charmander. "Aha! We are finally here," said Dr. Hector.

Sonador looked around him. The control room was nowhere to be found and he realized that he was lost. Meanwhile Reve had spent the night charting the area within the lab. She found that there were even teleporters in the place. I've thought of the perfect plan to rescue Charmander, she thought.

After a night of endless searching, Charmander was nowhere to be found. Truf wandered around the city aimlessly and didn't find anything. In the morning he returned to the Pokemon Center. Dell, Cerrie, and Ardus were there. "Truf, there you are. We know where Charmander is," said Cerrie. "You do! What are we waiting for, let's go!" exclaimed Truf. "No, Truf. First we have a make a plan of how to get past all the security," said Ardus. "Cham is a famous Team Rocket member. He captures pokemon with special abilities and sends them to a pokemon training camp," added Ardus. "A training camp?" said Truf. "Why would Cham send Charmander there? Where is it?, we have to find Charmander." "Calm down, the security at the training camp is tight, and we need a strategy to rescue the pokemon," said Dell.

Charmander looked around him. There was a desk in the center of the room. It had a sign saying "Pokemon Orientation Room". There were many other pokemon around the room with the camp's other trainers. Charmander saw a Bulbasaur, a Pidgey, a Raticate, and even a Kangaskan. Dr. Hector looked at Charmander. "Okay, Charmander. Welcome to your first day of training. I'm sure you will become a terrific contributing member of the team rocket pokemon. If you are lucky you can go into the special programs offered here at this training camp. If you pass the required tests you can go to a high level team rocket member. If you are as special as I think you are, you can even go to the boss!" said Dr. Hector with extreme enthusiasm. "Which program would you like to sign up for first?" "Charmander er...," replied Charmander.

"That's not the attitude I'm looking for," said Dr. Hector. Charmander tried to run, but Dr. Hector held onto him with his hand. He continued. "I think we can put you in a special new program. A pokemon has actually learned the human language. It's incredible. This pokemon was the boss's pokemon. Despite this amazing ability, the pokemon lacked the success the boss had hoped. The scientists here think that with the proper motivation and ability pokemon can actually learn to talk. I think that you should try this program, Charmander." While Dr. Hector continued talking Charmander thought, I don't want to learn the human language, because pokemon already have their own language. I just want to get out of here.

Charmander heard Dr. Hector continue. "Maybe the speech program isn't right for you. Maybe you can join the building of strength and defense of fire pokemon. I'm sure you'll do well in that. Alright, enough talk let's get started." A familiar face walked by the door. It seemed like Reve. "Char charmander!" Charmander exclaimed happily. Reve walked back and looked through the window in the door. She spotted Charmander. "I'm so glad, you're excited Charmander," responded Dr. Hector.
