What is Pokémon?
Anyway,
let's get on to the good stuff, the actual newsletter. Pokemon is
a Nintendo game for Game Boy in which you collect pocket monsters
and use them to fight other trainers. It is an role playing game
where you travel to different cities and fight the local gym
leader's pokemon. But pokemon is so much more than that, you have
to solve puzzles, and train your pokemon to grow stronger or
evolve. One of the reasons why it is so popular is because in
order to catch all of them you must trade with a friend.
In the
beginning of the game, you choose your starting pokemon from
Professor Oak at Pallet Town. You can choose from a Bulbasaur,
Charmander, or a Squirtle. You cannot have all three! You have to
trade with a friend to get all of them. When you get your
pokémon, you can fight other pokemon and try to capture them.
You goals are to collect all 150 of them and beat the Elite Four
to become a Pokemon Master.
